i will say 2 Montreal and.... i don't know. but there's enough unknown/intrigue surrounding teams like Vancouver, Toronto and (if they decide to actually get serious about goaltending) Winnipeg that someone else could sneak in.

I was kidding. I see Van making in the west and Montreal in the East. That is about it.

Montreal likely. We'll see if Carey Price has a good year, making it two consecutive good years for the first time in his career.

Canucks, Leafs, likely the only two with even a chance. I guess Edmonton may FINALLY pull it together.

Calgary and Ottawa are certain bottom feeders. Winnipeg isn't quite a bottom feeder, but not too far off.

I absolutely think Montreal makes it.....but it's laughable that Cordell thinks the loss of Gorges and the addition of GILBERT will STABILIZE the d-corps.

So was I, who knows what's gonna happen, Montreal is really the only safe bet.

If the Canucks were lucky enough to get in they would be gone after the first round. Wiilie D & Jim Benning will need another offseason to figure things out.

Gilbert for Gorges is a fairly even swap but i think its more the loss of Douglas Murray and Francis Bouillon that makes the Habs better from subtraction.

Gilbert is a good puck mover and add in Beaulieu who will make the team in for Murray/Bouillon and you have a much more mobile D. Now if we could only replace Emelin we'd be sitting pretty.

Any team in the East could do, MTL is the most likely but I wouldnt count out TOR or even OTT.

West may see 1 of the teams, but its such a tough conference that its hard to say. If I had to place a bet I would go with Edmonton for the dark-horse pick.

No, Edmonton want's to add Connor McDavid to their stockpile.

Vancouver is looking like it'll be belly flopping into the garbage pile for first overall.

Yeah, at this point I'd just say Montreal.

Some chance for Vancouver if they get things going. And maybe Toronto if they fire Carlyle early enough in the season.

Otherwise yeah, going to be another low Canadian team count in the playoffs this year.
